Questions and Answers / Mountain ocarinas?
« on: March 12, 2019, 08:46:57 pm »
Sorry if this has been asked before and I missed it, but are the old Mountain Ocarinas going to come back in stock at some point now that the Coda is out? Not trying to rush anybody, I know Coda is still new and there'll be a lot to sort out, but it'd be nice to know I'll be able to get my poly G sometime in the future.

General Discussion / My Coda came too!

I live in a trailer park and sometimes my mail gets delivered to who-knows-where, but fortunately this was not one of those times! I'm busy getting ready for a trip, but I've played it a bit in spare moments and we're getting along swimmingly. I also noticed that, apart from the clip, the shape bears a slight resemblance to a legless grand piano (with the mouthpiece as the front/keyboard), which seems appropriately ironic. I'm used to transverse doubles and triples with only the right hand used for the upper chambers, so it's going to take some getting used to, but I love the sound!

Introductions / Howdy

I'm Lee, and I play a few instruments including piano and bass guitar, but mostly ocarina--because, whaddya know, it's the only one I have small enough to have it always sitting next to me while I'm working. I have a triple bass, bass C, contralto G, couple of tenor Cs, alto G (my favourite; the Aria G from STL) and soprano C ceramic transverse ocs. I also love the abbreviation 'oc'. I keep a few plastics in my car, joined by the poly C Mountain oc, which I'd very much like to supplement with a warmstone at some point... but I'm really looking forward to trying out the Coda and adding an instrument to my EDC collection.
