Good job Karl. The video sounded good and looked really good too.  :)
Well CODAina, sounds like we are in the same age group. That just reminded me I have a birthday coming up on the 24th. Wow another year older.  ??? :o :( ::)

Playing in the car is not a bad idea, but it is too loud for me when I do that.

I use ear plugs that limit the loudness sometimes. They help a lot when in a car or other small areas. They are usually called music or musician ear plugs.

I don't get to play  my CODA much because of my wife screaming at me about the noise levels (mostly the upper chamber).  But I will try to make a recording or two this year.  I love my CODA but all you married guys know the saying "If mama ain't happy.....".

I would say my wife is the single most limiting factor I have when it comes to practice. But she will tolerate me practicing some. That is one good thing about the Coda EDC ( Every Day Carry ). I play a lot in the car waiting for people. Sometimes I will go out to the car and practice in my driveway. ??? ::) :)

Well this is kind of what I had in mind anyway. So I’m game. I will try to learn some songs well enough to record. I can play 30 or 40 songs ok. I just need to get better at 10 of them. That sounds doable.  ??? ;) ;D

I have been watching some videos of Roy Clark and Glen Campbell that has brought back a lot memories and songs to try on my Coda and Harmonica. Those guys were not only good singers but amazing musicians. :)

Hi guys!  Roderick...you make me laugh out loud!  FYI....my bird love his new toy....loves plucking in one quick move the keys of the deceased laptop so it is still useful ;D!  My hubby also suggested one of those memory apps, thanks for the suggestion.

Windjammer, It was Albert  from the advisory board back in February 2018...anyways...just like that old quote: "Great minds think alike" so you and Albert had the same brilliant and colorful idea!   ;)

Ok. Yes what made me think about it was our little Christmas Village had these really small lights that was battery powered. That would work great for that purpose.  ;)

It can be hard to get some people out of their shells. This is my 5th post and I have been on this forum since it started a year ago. 🤔

Rob W.

Yes it is. I was like you and others only probably worse. :-[  I was on the old forum for years before I put up my first post. I loved to read other people’s posts but did not think I had anything interesting to contribute. But I think everybody has something to contribute. There is a lot of of wonderful, interesting and talented people here.  ??? I think some may just need a little encouragement to get started.  ;) :)

Last Pass comes very highly recommended by a lot of tech people. I have not used it myself but have thought about it.

First I would like to wish you all a very happy new year full of joyful music and creative ideas!  I have not been too active in this forum and/or any other social media sites due to many technical issues the last of which happened last week when my old dinosaur laptop of 10 years took her last breath!  Finding my login to this site as well as many others was  a real test to my memory cells!  I guess I am exhausted because right now i cannot think for the life of me who among Karl's  selected advisory coda group suggested the use of a micro light gadget to attach to clear codas  when we 1st discussed the idea of marketing clear codas.  I thought that was a brilliant idea! ;)

Well I found where on the old forum on July 31,2017 Karl,Ubizmo,Harp Player ,a few others and me are talking about the clear Coda and I said “ Hey! We can put lights in it and make it any color we want. “ Is that what you are referring to?   ???  ;D But I am not on the advisory group. ??? ::)

Okay, I  have taken on the challenge of learning to switch chambers. My one major complaint about my  mountain ocs is I couldn't play the star spangled banner. Being a veteran I am a tad patriotic. So over the last couple of days I have been working on learning to to play it. My mind kind of does this brain freeze when I have to switch chambers, its very annoying, but I am sure I will eventually get over it.

You will at some point not even have to think about it. If you keep working at it and not give up. I started doing songs and exercises that made me switch chambers. I still have room to improve and some days are better than others. I did not expect to have trouble with chamber switching because I have a triple ocarina that I got decent at switching. But they feel a lot different. The Coda is lighter , smaller and the fingering feels different too. :)
